20/09/20: Wonderful collaborative effort from many CIC bioGUNE groups led by Jesús Jiménez-Barbero lab towards the "Structural characterization of the N-linked glycans in the receptor binding domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and their interactions with human lectins using NMR spectroscopy", just published in ACIE with full-atom modeling from postdoc Francesca Peccati. 02/09/20: PhD student Reyes Nuñez-Franco just published a cool paper with Jesús Jiménez-Barbero and Oscar Millet labs entitled "Unravelling the time scale of conformational plasticity and allostery in glycan recognition by human galectin-1" in CEJ featuring cool molecular dynamics of carbohydrate receptors!
28/06/20: Former PhD student Nuria Mazo and postdoc Claudio D. Navo just publish a new paper entitled "Selective modification of sulfamidate-containing peptides" in OBC, with a cool cover!
24/06/20: New paper with Juan Luis Asensio entitled "Dissecting the Essential Role of Anomeric β‑Triflates in Glycosylation Reactions" published in JACS, with lots of quantum mechanical calculations from our group!

15/02/20: The group has been awarded a research grant from the Mizutani Foundation for Glycoscience (Japan) to study the binding of carbohydrates to biological receptors with particular emphasis on entropy and dynamics. Such an honor, thanks a lot!

13/04/18: FINALLY! Cyclic alpha- and beta-amino acids sulfamidates succesfully applied in regio- and stereoselective glycosylation. This idea goes back to my PhD studies back in 2005 and. Just published in JOC.
